So I took a gamble on some lowering springs I found from Austrailia (via eBay) and it paid off. I lowered DW's 01 MPV about 1.5" overall and love the new ride.

Install was overall very easy thanks to a How To somewhere on here.

Now I just need to know if I should shorten the front sway bar end links by 1" to match...otherwise I feel I may have forced a bit more understeer into the system.

Anyone else?

Ideally the endlinks should be parallel to the ground with the full weight of the car on the suspension. I was looking into getting some adjustable length ones to do it with (whiteline makes some) but haven't decided whether its worth the trouble.

What's more important is the spring rates as that will greatly affect the tendency of the car to under or over steer, especially on a FWD.

BTW I think those are King springs - a very reputable manufacturer from australia.

It looks nice Very Happy I think it will be slightly lowered after it completely settles in.
I'd get the adjustable bar instead of cutting your stock one, the measurement may not be exact and it requires adjustment.

Yes, they are King springs. And yes, those are clear corners I made myself. Wink

Also, I just ordered the Nengun RS*R lateral bar for the rear and will check the front end links to see if they sit perpendicular to the ground.

Thanks for the info everyone. After 105,000 miles on the stock suspension, this was a welcomed move. Install was EASY and it rides like a new car. No issues and 100% glad I did it.

Btw, where did you get your control arm and how much? I got the bushings changed, quite difficult - should've got the whole thing like you.

eBay. $90/pair brand new. I figured that way I am not swapping old/new bushings, paying labor while car is up on jackstands, etc.

Thanks for the info - I will definitely purchase the whole LCA instead of replacing the bushing next time.

I'm lazy, I never installed mine, I can just send them to you. I am sure you can come up with a reasonable offer, or maybe we can trade for something...

that's one advantage we have in Australia, lowered springs are available for anything, if they're not already available you can drive in and have them made to order (any spring rate, height, progressive rate etc) while you wait, including getting them fitted
