Hey guys, I am a new user here but have been dealing with Mazda parts via rx7club for the past 13 years. My user name on rx7club is the same as here and you can check my sales history if you have any worries.
I currently live in Japan but am moving back to Southern California this February 2013. I purchased a 2006 MPV for my wife and I to use and decided to modify it a bit to make it a bit more appealing and unique.
Here are some parts that I have noticed that are unique to the Japanese MPV and parts that I can supply if anyone is interested.
OEM Mazda HID headlights
Power mirrors with power folding mechanism
Door/ window visors
Rear roof wing (this may have been offered in the states I do no know)
coilover Suspsension kits
lowering springs
Catback exhaust systems
Front and rear lip spoilers
Front Grilles
And a variety of tail lights- I chose to go with an all red tail light with a small portion cleared for the reverse light. This was a oem tail light here not like the euro/ altezza style lights in the US.
I will get some pictures of these items posted up for you all to see.
Thanks for looking and feel free to PM me or reply to this thread.
Tom If you need JDM MPV parts I can help. |

roof wing removed
These are just some of the differences and or aftermarket parts I have come across. If you need JDM MPV parts I can help. |

yep. I mostly deal with RX-7 parts but now that I own an MPV I will be posting up some parts from time to time.
The above pics are all pics directly off Yahoo auctions and not parts I own although I do still live here in Japan but only for the next month. Then back to Cali with the wife and kid! If you need JDM MPV parts I can help. |

I can vouch for Circuit Theory, as I'm a mod over at the RX-7 club. (And hence the reason I bought an MPV as well.)
The tail lights appear to be the OE 2002-2003 units. The 2004-2006 are an Altezza style light with a clear lens.
For further reference, see here:
http://forum.mpvclub.com/viewtopic.php?t=27894
The USDM MPV was offered with a rear spoiler, as well as a specific USDM Ground Effects package. I do not know if the front/rear lip spoilers are specifically JDM.
I think the main thing that anyone would be looking for would be suspension parts and HID headlamp assemblies.
The power folding mirrors would be a good idea too.
Are you still doing Containers? 2003 ES - Coastal Blue Metallic - Side Airbags - Power Sliding Doors - Leather - Rear A/C (Original Options)
Self installed rear heat; heated mirrors, fog lights, large wiper bottle, Heavy duty wiper motor. Working on the whole 4-Seasons Package; Just need a transmission cooler. |

Hey Pele,
Thanks for the kind words.
I found out after my post that some of those parts are offered here in the US as well. I just brought in a crate of rx7 parts to test the waters this summer. If those parts sell well then I will be looking into bringing in another container sometime soon and I will include mpv parts if there is a decent market for them. I also have moved back to California and no longer live in Japan but make trips back as often as possible.
I put visors on my 06 MPV and also put on the power mirrors. I got the power mirror/fold switch and then got lazy and never installed it.... Maybe in the future. I also bough a front lip or my mpv but it turned out it was for a 2004-05. I need to post it up for sale on here soon.
If anyone has any suggestions of what JDM parts they would want feel free to post them up here or in PM to me. I know the HID lights are of interest, as well as mazdaspeed exhausts, and coilover set ups.
Anything else? If you need JDM MPV parts I can help. |
