on mine yes on hers no i think i have a sticky fuel sending unit now my gas gauge hasn't moved a bit....

Better go top it up just to make sure you have fuel.

One thing I do after a rebuild ... I try to do it "always" ... but I eventually get a bit lazy after a few thousand milles ... is to add a few ounces of clean motor oil to the gasoline at every fill up ... about 4 to 8 ounces per tankful. If the engine is running well, the oil will be consumed no problem ... and should give a bit of upper cyl lubrication and cleaning. I would never add anything as a remedy if the engine were not running well. But the oil should help a good engine last.

i think i'll try that it is running great and i just think the float might be stuck after being in one position so long. i'm gonna fill it tomorrow and maybe take it down to wpb about 50 mi away and all 95 so we'll see how it does.....
