to wash, clay and polish (wax) my vehicles. I'm going to use my new stool and do the new CaddyWagon first. The weather in KC has warmed up, but it has rained all day today and it looks like I'm going to have to wait a little bit longer.

Some day in March when the weather is nice I'm going to take a day off of work and spend the day with my new 'baby' and 'treat her right'! Very Happy

A clayed vehicle surface is quite nice. I bought my dad a Craftsman random orbital 7" buffer for his birthday (he has a dark purple GP GXP), you may want to try a buffer to help make the polish process easier.

I'm definitely having the same itch as you. Except sometimes I itch so badly that I run out when the temperatures are around freezing. And then I completely freeze up my fingers when I try to wash the cars Smile

A random orbital buffer is definitely a good idea for polishing. It can also be used to apply waxes, and it does a much better and even job of applying the wax thinly, evenly, and thoroughly. A Porter Cable 7336/7424 is a highly regarded random orbital, if you're interested.

Yes, I also wax my lawn mower. However, I don't use the Zaino on the lawn mower. Very Happy The wax on the mower helps keep it clean.

we washed the kids' bikes/scooters last time we washed the MPV, but we didn't wax them (neither I nor the young'uns had the patience)

I guess I do owe some pictures of the SRX all cleaned up! Also note the new wheels/tires and I removed all of the 'clutter' from the back of the CaddyWagon!

Mike, I did a quick search and the Porter Cable 7424 is around $140. Does that sound right?

That sounds about right, but you can probably get it cheaper in other places. I did a quick search, and Coastal Tool has the PC for $109+about $9 shipping=approx. $118. Not too bad Smile But what you have to also be prepared for is to buy other necessary things like a velcro backing plate, and polishing pads/waxing pads. This will cost another $40-50.
