I'm ready to transfer the messages posted here to the archive board
that I'm going to create in the forums of www.mpvclub.com
I wanted to ask you guys how would you want them to be put in there.
I can dump everything in one single thread or I can create separate
threads for every thread ever posted here. So the original message
and all its replies would appear in one thread and there would be a
lot of threads.
Which way would you prefer?
Also, once all the messages are transfered to the new board, what do
you say if I lock the list here? Would you miss it? Smile
Anyway, everybody is welcome to participate in the new message boards
at MPVClub web site and this is not only limited to the redesigned
MPV, older models (1989 and up) are welcome also.
Please let me know what you think about all this.

Yes, I'm looking into a ways of creating advanced notification service that all new messages can be delivered via email (individually or as daily digests). There is Notify Plus board mod for YaBB Gold but it will not work with our PHP based YaBB SE. But I think I can write something very similar. It shouldn't be that tough... We'll see.

Is there a
way to get the posts to the bulletin board delivered to my inbox in the same
fashion that these posts are delivered to me? I love the new forum, but I know I will not got the website
to read the mails unless I have a specific need. If they are in my inbox, I'll keep up with them. Just a thought and a personal
preference.

Hugs,

I find it tedious to keep up with a multitude of threads made up of just a few messages - but I'm flexible (and very happy that you are doing this!!) Wink

Either way
sounds OK. No doubt some will prefer one over another. Your dedication is quite
something. BTW, my wife and I are traveling about 18000 km in our MPV this
summer throughout the States. I'll report on the progress through the site. For
what it's worth, we wrote a book called ?Curious Canadians?, and are now
working on an American version.

Regards,

Ted Liss
