Im getting ready to replace the infamous ignition coil on my 2006 mpv. Prices vary wildly. Im willing to pay the differnce if there is a tangible performance/reliability difference.

Are QYL, delphii, beck arnley, spectra, Standard ok? Is denso worth the extra money? Any reccomendation appreciated. Thanks!

Densos are good. Remember the three plugs and coils next to the firewall are tough to get to. You have to remove the intake manifold.

I've gone thru at least 10 coils... various brands including Bosch. Last batch I bought from Rockauto for $20, still working so far. I'm not willing to pay $100 for coils that don't last... Autozone used to have lifetime warranty and I got a few replaced but that's no longer.

I have replaced the whole front row over the last year on a 2004 (@85K) that has had extremely little use/wear ;-(.

I am not sure how necessary the plastic cover might be on the engine and wonder if that might be contributing to moisture and heat buildup. I have removed it but am not sure of others experiences?

Hoping it will be a while till the back row starts to go, hopefully never.
