I got a P0160 code, searched and there's only one thread

http://forum.mpvclub.com/viewtopic.php?t=26422&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=p0160&start=45

It looks like an O2 sensor problem bank 2 position 2 based on http://www.obd-codes.com/p0160

anyone have experience with this code?
where is this O2 sensor located, i think it's the front bank (close to the bumper) but not sure which sensor since there's 2?
need oem for this part?

I have an 04 MPV, 88,000 miles

You're in luck in that bank 2 sensor 2 is the easiest O2 sensor to get to. Stick your head under there like you are going to change the oil filter, look toward the front passenger wheel, and you should see this sensor bolted into the exhaust pipe.

should i get OEM? it's $100+

Bosch is $86 on amazon

Denso is $40 on ebay (but does not come in retail box, it might be fake?)

Based on what I've read around here in the past, your first concern is finding the appropriate part number. There are four different O2 sensors, each with its own part number (IIRC), so you have to make sure that you're getting the correct one. Mazda lists six different potential parts, Autozone lists 19, and so on. You want to be sure and get the "front downstream" sensor. It's also puzzling that Autozone shows some sensors costing half of what others cost.

http://www.jimellismazdaparts.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=1148385&ukey_make=995&ukey_model=14362&modelYear=2004&ukey_category=29193

If I were in your shoes, I would first contact Mazda to get the exact OEM part number. If you decide not to go with an OEM part, then you can usually use the OEM part number for comparison shopping other brands.

Hi,

I have the same code on my MPV. I have located the O2 sensor. But I can't seem to find the end of the connection. Looks like it is somewhere under the throttle body. Can you tell me where does the sensor lead connector is?
Thank you

Steven
