The first car I ever drove was a Renault stick. I was ten. I eventually really learned and got my license in the family 55 Chevy three on the tree six cylinder. classic. |

First drive ever: Friend's father's '70 Impala on a country road for maybe a mile, when I was 15.
Driver's Ed: Newish AMC Hornet 3-speed stick on the floor, at 16.
Road Test: Dad's '67 Chrysler Newport 383, at 16.
Conversion to Japanese: A friend's '70 Datsun 1000 w/ 4-speed, at 17. What a fun little car! Manitoba MPV

first drive: early '70's retired CN truck converted to pickup. Then properly learned and road drove a '79 F150 supercab (great to learn parallel parking with), most fun car '97 Mitsubishi eclipse (learned autobahn driving with that one) - - - perception iss reality - - - |
