As tempting as the headers sound (a 3-ton vehicle always needs more power!) I talked to the dealer and he was willing to weld the manifold for me. So I had them do that.

He says one of the flanges ...

FYI, I had some noticeable seepage around our oil pan gasket in our 2002 ES with 85,000 miles. We just paid to have the dealer replace the gasket, since it was making a mess of the floor...

My 2002 MPV ES has a cracked front exhaust manifold now... The dealer wants a cool $1000 for the repair - $760 in part since he claims it's one long pipe with an integrated catalytic converter.

Don't let Mazda give you any bunk. This is a known issue, and Mazda has been replacing these trannies right and left with problems exactly like yours on 2002 models. Demand that they at least cover ...

Updating our tranny problems:

Mazda is helping out a LOT with the repair. But it's not replaced yet. Why? Turns out that these 5-speed trannies are back ordered right now. The dealer also let i ...

I have a 2002 MPV ES without the tranny cooler. Bought new. We had the reflash way back when with the jerking shifts but the tranny has never been smooth. Dealer changed the fluid at 30k.

The proprietary connector is somewhat loose, so there is an adhesive foam backing on the board to hold it securely. I would definitely use the zip tie (included) to attach the wire to the frame as we ...

I tested the Sylfex AuxMod Basic in my '02 MPV last night. Worked like a champ! So I feel safe suggesting that it'll work in ANY double-DIN modular Mazda radio. Mine is an '02 ES with the 1168 radi ...
